My weekend turned out to be pretty fun. On Friday we went and saw a movie with Logan and Eric and Ashlee, then went to Logan's house and played ping pong. On saturday I had a girl's day with my friends Maddie and Amanda. Maddie is getting married so we all met for lunch at the Macaroni Grill, then went dress shopping for her. She found the most beautiful dress that she ended up buying. Since we were at the Riverwoods we decided to do a little bit of shopping and ended up all buying the same sweater from victoria's secret, and got free puppies to go with them. (I gave my puppy to my real puppy, Mimzy, and she is having a blast with it.) After that we all went to amanda's apartment and watched a movie and did make overs. It was really nice to have a girls day for a change.
Sunday it was back with the boys. Logan Brady and I took Mimzy and went snowshoeing. Some might say this isn't an appropriate Sunday activity but we were enjoying Gods work in nature and had a great time. When it turned dark we went home and had dinner with brady's family and then back to Logan's again where Eric and Ashlee met us for a board game and an episode of lost (which by the way, the next and last season is coming so soon!). That was probably the busiest weekend, that doesn't include working on the basement, that I've had in a long time and I had a lot of fun. So I guess my high hopes were met.

Random Ramblings

Real Estate school is really boring. I have to finish it before I start school in March so most of my free time consists of listening to old people talk in monotone until I can't think anymore. At first everything was just going over my head but I'm starting to understand more of what it is saying now. I don't want to do Real Estate full time, but it would sure be nice if I could sell a few houses to help me pay for esthetics.

Today Brady had a dentist appointment so he had to leave work early. So I have to get a ride home with a co-worker/friend. My boss just came up to me and said, "Jessica, I'm gonna need you to leave early today". They don't like us to get overtime so if we meet our 40 hours early we have to clock out. I always want to leave early, but of course he says it on the day that I don't have a car.
I am so burned out at this job. Its really not a hard job its just the same thing over and over all day after a year can get really annoying, and mostly I'm just sick of sitting in a cubicle all day.

I'm really excited that its the weekend and look forward to what it will bring. Hopefully we will move forward on the apartment. I realized I haven't posted any pictures on here of it yet so I'll try to get to that soon. But We are working on the kitchen now but we've had some complications so it will probably take longer than planned. and hopefully we will be going snow shoeing as well(which shall also bring pictures). and then a relaxing Sunday.

Brady got me a new car! A 2001 Subaru Forester! Isn't he the best husband in the world?!

......ok the truth is, Our anniversary was on Sunday and we both forgot about it until about 2:00 in the afternoon when Brady asked what we wanted to do for our anniversary. When we looked at our calander to see what day it would be on we were both surprised to see it was that day. Our Second year and we already forgot... is that a problem? Anyway, back to the car. Last year the day before our anniversary our car broke down so we spent our whole anniversary car shopping until we found the perfect car, our 2003 Subaru Forester! So I always said thats what Brady got me. Now year two, we spent sunday night looking online for cars (because i need one once i start school :), and we just happend to find this car and everything about it fit so yesterday we went to test drive it and fell in love and today Brady brought it home for me!

I just don't know how Brady is going to match this next year.....

I'm Going to School!

I've been debating for the past 2 years whether or not i should go to school and various things have stopped me from doing it. This time its for real! I start on March 9th at the "Skin Science Institute of Laser and Esthetics". I'm so excited! I get to quit my job and go full time, so I should be done in 8 months. After that I'll decide if I want to go a step further and get more education with the lasers (which as of right now I do). I have a friend at work who is thinking about signing up as well which would be a lot of fun! I can't wait, and I'll have a kit that I don't have to take to school and use on customers so I'll be able to practice on family and friends!

Christmas and New Years...

I know I'm late but I thought I'd let you know how our holidays went. Christmas was great! We spent Christmas Eve with Brady's family and Christmas morning with my family. I gave Brady a computer to install into his car (that my brother Hank got all set up and did tons of work to gather the parts for me) and he absolutely LOVES it! It was so fun to watch him as he realized what it was. I got a pair of really nice snow boots that I've been wanting, and a ton of clothes and hair product. One of my favorite things though was having Danica in town! I love spending time with
her and her cute little family.

New Years was a little less exciting. I got bronchitis and was basically in Bed for two weeks. So my News years consisted of me playing a quick game of rummi cube with my cousins, Nate and MC, and Brady. Then I curled up on the couch and barely stayed awake until we went and watched the ball drop on tv. then immediatly went home and to bed.

That was just the beginning of my sickness later on I had to go stay at my mom's house so poor brady could actually get some sleep, and so the drywall dust didn't kill me!

Overall we had a great holiday and are excited for our new year goals (even though i couldn't start the main one of working out becuase i couldn't breathe!)

Brady

Brady's Birthday was yesterday. We all know I love everything about him so I'll spare you the list. We celebrated his Birthday sunday, by having a bbq in his backyard. I think everyone had a really good time. We grilled hamburgers and played horse shoes, ping pong and bocce ball which his mom gave him. I gave him a new longboard that my uncle Danny made and some cologne. He said it was the most fun birthday he has had! I love you Brady, Happy Birthday!

Ok, I've had complaints that i don't blog enough so here's my little update.
We are still working on the basement. We have the bedroom dry walled and almost all the taping and mudding done, and we are going to start on the family room and Kitchen this Saturday (anyone who helps will be fed pizza and soda!).
The progress has slowed down a lot because Brady started school. He is going to UVU doing his generals and then plans on switching to BYU for an industrial design degree.
I'm planning on starting Aesthetics school as soon as the basement is finished.
Right now we are both working at Myebiz doing customer service. Its really nice because we sit right next to eachother all day so i still get to see him and spend time with him even though he is in school.
We Lasted the month of our vegitarian diet and decided to keep going. I am actually really enjoying it!
For the 4th we went up in the uintah's to a place called Dean's Lake with a group of our friends. It was really fun but i got eaten alive by mosquitos and Brady didn't even get one!
um.. I think thats pretty much it for now, but I will try to post more......

Brady and I have been planning to go vegetarian when we move into our new apartment. We have been cutting back a lot on meat and it hasn't seemed that hard. Last weekend however, Brady watched a video at peta.com that shows how the animals we eat are treated and decided we shall wait no longer! So we are officially pescatarian, vegetarians who eat fish(we don't feel too bad for them).
We went shopping yesterday for the first time with our new "diet" and I was really surprised to see how little you can buy without meat. We will definitely sign up for emealz.com (the site Danica talked about) when we have our own fridge. They have a vegetarian plan so we will at least know what to eat. It will be hard but worth it. Wish us luck!

So yesterday I was playing on facebook and there was an ad for digital Scrapbooking and I thought it sounded really fun but when i clicked on it the link didn't work so i just kind of forgot about it. Then today I read Danielle's blog and she talked about how she loves it so I decided I better check it out. I found one called Smilebox, it has a basic version that is free so i tried making one. It was really fun! I don't have very many pictures on my work computer so I don't have any cute creations to show you, but hopefully I will soon! Thanks for the tip Danielle!

Last night Brady and I went to Danny and Desirae's and had a bbq! Danny Makes the best hamburgers ever! For anyone who hasn't tried them, you are seriously missing out, he has some mad skills. After we ate Brady and Danny stained my future longboard, which ended up looking awesome!! I stayed inside and played with the girl's hair and talked to Des all night. It is always a good time at their house!

Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend. Danica, Hank, Baby Jessica, and David came to visit and I loved hanging out with them, especially the baby! Hank was sick in bed almost the whole time. They concluded that he had mono, after he was rushed to the hospital... twice!

On Saturday we had our family Easter party, Uncle Randy grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone then all the adults did a scavenger hunt and David won the big prize. All the little kids did the traditional egg hunt and everyone had a lot of fun.

On Sunday we had to wake up bright and early and look through our baskets...... Brady got the game Killer Bunnies, we haven't played it yet, but we've heard great things about it!

I got Just like Heaven, my favorite chick flick, and a pair of easter shoes.

After the baskets we went to church and Brady got called to the scouts. He gets to be with the decons and he is excited to get to go on all the hikes and camp outs with them. Luckily he got called just in time to go on the 50 miler right before his school starts!

Overall we had a great weekend, I was sad when Danica and Hank had to leave, but poor Hank needed to get home to his own bed! David is still here and we are still enjoying his company!

For anyone who doesn't know, Brady and I are finishing his parents basement to move into. It has been unfinished and used as a storage space and sewing room for many many years, So there was a lot of stuff to be sorted through and hauled out. This weekend we finally got to start on the framing. You can actually see where the rooms are going to go and it makes things a lot less stressful. Oh by the way... our apartment contract is over at the end of this month so we are extremely scrunched on time. But I am so excited that we finally started so i had to share with everyone. (sorry I forgot my camera, I'll take pictures next time!)

My sister in-law, Hailey, auditioned for the MDT(music, dance, theater) program at BYU. They only accept 16-20 people a year, so people all over the world come to audition. She auditions with a song a dance and two monologues, and was anxiously waiting for the news.
The other day it finally came. We were sitting in her kitchen and she got a text from her friend in Salt Lake saying he had made it, so her and her mom ran to the mailbox and all of a sudden we just heard screaming!
She got accepted!! It was so exciting, and we are so proud of her! Almost everyone who gets into that program ends up on Broadway so this is a huge deal. Hailey is so beautiful and talented and we are so excited to watch her progress in this

So for those of you who didn't know, when Danica joined Cookie Lee, she asked me right away to join with her. I really liked the idea but i didn't have the money and didn't want to dedicate the time. So when it came time to go to the Cookie Lee Convention, of course she invited me, and I went. I had a blast but I still wasn't convinced. But then Danica got a new car and she put her Cookie Lee Decal on it and I fell in love! I wanted that sticker so bad, but she said I would have to join to get one, and I still didn't, but I was a lot closer. So after three years and two conventions, Danica finally convinced me I could do it. So I joined and got my sticker!! Unfortunately I had an extremely ugly car and I didn't want to make my sticker look bad. But now I have a new car and I finally got to put my sticker up so I thought I'd share my excitement with you.p.s. Don't you love how you can see Brady in the reflection.... :)

Valentine's Day

Brady didn't have work on Friday, So i got off around 12:30 and we packed up and headed down to Topaz Mountain. The plan was to get there and hike around until dark then get a good night sleep so we could have all of Saturday to search for topaz. All the weather stations said it would be snowing all Saturday so that worried us a little but we called the Delta City Center and they told us it was too warm for any snow to stick. So we figured we'd go anyway, even if we had to turn back early.
We got to Topaz Mountain around 5:30 so we had a couple hours to explore and play fetch with Mimzy and gather wood for a fire. It was really fun, and the cool thing was we were the only ones there! We didn't see another car for about the last hour of the drive.
But when it got dark, it got cold, really cold! So we cuddled up in the back of our car. We had laid all the seats down and filled it with blankets and sleeping bags and pillows, and Brady filled an ice chest with all sorts of goodies!
We slept terrible because it was so cold and Brady is a little too tall for the car, and when we woke up there was snow everywhere! So finding topaz was impossible. So we packed up and headed home and got home just in time for my mom's yearly Valentine's breakfast, which was delicious.
On our way home we stopped at redbox and rented three movies and spent the rest of the day snuggled up on the couch eating treats and watching movies.
Overall, it was really fun, even though our initial plan was ruined we still had a great Valentine's weekend. Oh and Brady wrote me the cutest poem ever, but I'm sure he'd be embarrassed if i put it on here.....
Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to all!!

I just bought this mascara and I love it enough to blog about it! Its Great! The last mascara I had would always flake and get in my eyes and it drove me crazy so I decided to splurge a little and try this kind. It never flakes or smudges(even if you cry), and it pretty much looks like you are wearing fake eyelashes! I recommend it to all! The only bad thing is, the package says it just takes warm water to remove, but it wasn't that easy!

Hot Pots

Last night Logan, Brady and I went to the hot pots in Midway, it was freezing outside put the pots were nice and toasty, and a group of our friends happened to show up a little after we got there so we had a good time. There was one weird thing though, this creepy guy from Provo showed up, and said he had been looking for the hot pots for a few hours and finally found them, but he didn't have a swimming suit or anything and he just stood there forever and watched us.. it was really weird. I can't believe we've been married for a whole year! Last Saturday was our one year anniversary, We went car shopping all day and bought a Subaru Forester then went out to dinner and saw a play at the Hale Center Theater. It was really fun!

I love Brady because.....
Brady is such a sweet guy, he is so nice to everyone and is rarely ever in a bad mood, he is always very optimistic. Brady has never yelled or even raised his voice at me, he is very patient and forgiving, but what i love the most is how fun he is! He always wants to be hiking and camping and doing fun things and i love it, he keeps us very active! Brady is perfect for me, he's my second half, I love you baby, thanks for everything!

Ssss..No Fun!

So everything is covered in snow which makes taking Mimzy to go potty a lot more difficult! She absolutely loves the snow and goes crazy playing in it. The problem is, she is a pretty strong dog and being pulled by her is no fun! So this morning I decided I wanted to let her run around for a little bit, now i knew she probably wouldn't come when I called her but I decided I would give it a try and I dropped the leash.... She went crazy, she just loved it! but then i got cold and wanted to go inside. Yeah Right! I ended up having to follow her all around my apartment complex for twenty minutes trying to catch her, but she is really fast. Finally I caught her but I couldn't be mad cause i knew what I was getting myself into... I thought I would keep this little adventure to myself because Brady would never be stupid enough to let go of her leash, but I got a call from him laughing his head off when he got home because he saw paw prints and leash marks followed by my footsteps everywhere!!

Ok, I got tagged by Danica (gee thanks!) to list some of my quirks, so here goes nothin!

1. Creole - I am infamous for putting creole (a salty spice) on just about EVERYTHING that I eat. What can I say, it makes good food taste great!

2. Popping - Everyday, since I was a kid, I've popped just about every joint in my body, from my toes to my neck! (it resulted in me having to go to the Chiropractor 3 times a week!)

3. Dreams - I have the weirdest dreams ever! and a few of them I have over and over... just the other night I had one of the re-occurring ones, about a huge house! Every time it is about something different, but its always in the same GIANT house and I always end up walking all the way through it. (which takes up the whole dream)

4. Yoshi toes - ok, so I have round toes! When I was little my brother David was making fun of my toes and nick named me Yoshi toes and all my boy cousins and him called me that for a long time and I hated it! still to this day i guarantee you'll never see green polish on my toes!

5. Re-arranging - I guess I get bored of things easily because every couple of months I have to re- arrange all of my furniture! (It was easier when i just had a bed and a dresser) Our couch doesn't re-arrange very easily because it is a sectional so i was very excited when i got to separate them for the Christmas tree!

Brady and I put up our Christmas tree up on Black Friday (after, of course, I got all my Christmas shopping done!) We had a lot of decorations from our wedding so we had fun decorating it! Christmas Season is my favorite, so I hope I'll have a lot more to blog about!

This is Mimzy, the baby of our family. When we got her from the pound about 8 months ago they told us she was a border terrier and wouldn't get bigger than 10 pounds, turns out she is an Irish Wolf Hound and could get to the size of a small pony! But we still love her. She is very spoiled, Brady gives her whatever she wants!
